Pirate Pete
After the estate of Edgar Rice Burroughs had sued for Taito copyright
infringement for using Tarzan's likeness.
Jungle King, Taito reworked the graphics
and released the game as Jungle Hunt.
But this was just a quick and rather rushed fix. Pirate Pete is a
morte thorough rework, completely changing the setting.
Of course, the result was somewhat absurd. Pirates as cannibals? And why on earth would a pirate use ropes to swing from mast to mast of his ship, instead of simply walking across the deck?
