
After Taito released its smash hit
Arkanoid, the competition was quick to
create similar games. Sega came up with
Gigas, Namco with Quester. Neither had the
elaborate story Arkanoid sported, and neither was ported to any home
platform. But while Gigas was nevertheless superior to the original in
graphics and gameplay, Quester was not particularily remarkable in any
aspect. It was never distributed outside Japan and went mostly
unnoticed.
