Gunforce II icon A sequel to the 1991 game Gun Force – Battle Fire Engulfed Terror Island. It was known as Geo Storm in Japan.

The same team that created Gunforce II would later work on the Metal Slug series. Due to the similar gameplay and graphics, but also because the sounds of dying soldiers were almost exactly the same, some Metal Slug fans refer to Gunforce II as "Metal Slug Zero".

Some of the music was remixed from Air Duel.
