An excellent vertically scrolling shoot-'em-up. Distributed by Atlus, this is the first Cave game. Translated literally, the title means "Chief Hornet". It is also Japanese onomatopoiea for the firing of guns.
Kenichi Takano (the producer) and Tsuneki Ikeda (one of the programmers) were ex-Toaplan employees. It seems that Tsuneki Ikeda was one of the programmers behind Truxton hence the red/blue/green ship color for player 1. He should also be the "Ikeda in Maeba" guy appearing in Batsugun's credits. Read vertically, the highscore table says "TOAPLAN FOR EVER". (arcade-history)
